Drew got so relaxed by the ocean he was so sleepy he fell asleep on Jason this past weekend! He ended up sleeping out there for almost an hour! ( on Jason who was blocking him from the sun!)

Peekaboo...

Drew enjoys the fun that only a hotel can bring! He loves peekaboo around the corners..adores riding the elevator and is crazy about the trash cans in the room! ( no we do not indulge him and let him play with them but if we dont block them after housekeeping comes we quickly learn!)

Swamp Fires

Since "moving" to Virginia Beach we have gotten to enjoy some lovely effects of a swamp fire going on in NC. We have had Smoke Warnings and very grey days. We are told to stay indoors but you can smell the smoke in the room when we wake up. I am hoping we do not enjoy this all summer!

Sunset stroll..

Took Drew Man down to the coastline tonight. He was eager to walk towards the water and we were happily taking pics of him until a wave caught us ALL off guard. To his defense he was having a good time up til the point of a soaking with COLD water! (our hotel is in the background so as you can see we are quite close to the water! one plus!)

The Drying Rack as a Walker...

Drew has decided that the drying rack is much better used as a walker for himself! He pushes it around and walks around it. He is still too afraid to move from it to another object as seen in the above pic...close! He is just loving the abilty to crawl..really crawl around the hotel and this gets him to the object of his desire so that he can stand up! He loves to stand!

A day at the Zoo!

Drew and I headed out to check out the Virginia Zoo! Not bad and they even gave a military dicount!

My own little turtle!

I took Drew down to the beach yesterday for some fun in the shade/sun. We weren't out long but it was enough to wear him out! He came back to the room and we both napped! He loves the sand and appears at times to like to just look out to the big open ocean. He enjoys crawling around and pulling the sand towards himself-therefore getting it ALL over himself! Nothing a bath can't fix! I am so glad he likes the beach!!

Love at first sight with these two boys! The have shared naps, baths, showers, toys, giggles and grins and they enjoy each others company more than anything in the world!

Right back where we started...

Jason and I sit in a rather empty house in this our last night here in Stafford. Seems not too long ago we moved in and we had no Baby Drew..now almost a year later we are moving out already. The time has flown by and while we didn't particularly love this house or the traffic in the area its always a bit sad to leave any place you called home. This is, after all, the place we brought Drew home too. He is fast asleep in his pack n play and prob wondering what happend to his crib fit for a king( my joke) but he will be okay. We are happy this week to have had an offer accepted on what we hope will be a fine home to call our very own again. We close on July 11th but will sadly not be moving in for some time due to this course in Virginia Beach. It will be exciting for me to to show Jason the house that I picked out! How very brave ( or crazy) to send me off to California to pick out our house without a say! I think someone said I was the best one too go out since I am more picky...me picky? Who knew!

Packing

Drew has been a good boy while we packed. We are mostly ready for the movers in the morning. Weird feeling to be moving all over again. Can't say that I was sad about moving from here but now that our pics are off the wall..our clothes are packed yet again in suitcases and we have yet to find a replacement home in California- I am a bit sad. We are looking foward to spending the summer with our feet in the sand and playing in the surf. I think Jason and I were born to live at the beach and we hope Drew will grow up feeling the same! Hope to be posting pics this summer but not sure the frequency as we do not know about internet yet. Look for an update with our newer address soon! Miss you all!!!
